Atman’s Big Bang
The mass migration of wealth has historically determined which country or nation dominates the world. Until the Twentieth Century art and music simply followed the migration of the intellectuals that follow this wealth.
With the 20th Century technology finally gave the Creativity of both art and music to the common-man, Public. It did this for art with printing, and it did it for music with recordings, like LP records. And thus the unfathomable Creativity of the common man gave us Gospel, Soul, Rhythm and Blues, Jazz, Rock and Roll, and...
This Creativity of the common-man went far beyond the creative limits of anything composers of classical music could have imagined, not even in their wildest dreams.
The common-man determined Creativity simply by what he bought, like books and magazines and LP records. And this creativity that technology literally stole from the rich intellectuals so it could give it to the common-man, Public, gave us the biggest explosion of artistic creativity the world has ever seen: Atman’s Big Bang. And History missed it, again.
This massive explosion of artistic creativity – Atman’s Big Bang -- thus had nothing to do with any intellectual or academic art movements. Atman’s Big Bang was all about the Publishing Industry and its professional illustrators that entertained and captivated the common man with the images that gave the Public its Atman’s Big Bang.
Atman’s Big Bang had no more to do with intellectual art movements than Rhythm and Blues and Rock and Roll has anything to do with Classical Music. Atman’s Big Bang had no more to do with art movements than the Italian Renaissance had anything to do with Rome that, at the time, was securely locked into her Inquisitions.
And just like with Atman’s Big Bang, History also missed the biggest explosion of artistic creativity in Europe, the Italian Renaissance, by at least three hundred years.
The European/Italian Renaissance was in History's Black Hole for over 300 years until historians like French historian Jules Michelet (1798-1874), and Swiss historian Jacob Burckhardt, (1818-1897), came up with the word Renaissance more then 300 years after it happened, the Renaissance. They came up with the word “Renaissance” to explain how Europe came out of the Middle Ages to end up in the Reformation.
The Italian Renaissance had nothing to do with Rome and everything to do with the Muslim invasion of Constantinople in 1453.
Many of the Eastern intellectuals of Christianity that fled from Constantinople, after its fall to the Muslims, ended up in the only remaining center of Christianity, today's Italy. It was these intellectuals from the East, and their students, that gave Europe its Renaissance that would slowly bring Western Christianity out of her only significant contribution to mankind: the Dark Ages, the Middle Ages, and its Inquisitions. And History would wake up to Europe’s greatest explosion of intellectual and artistic creativity (from Constantinople) with the word “renaissance” more than three hundred years after it happened, around 1857.
Just like it took History over three hundred years to discover the word “renaissance” it might take History another 300 years to discover that the greatest explosion of artistic creativity the world has ever seen concentrated in one place, New York, had nothing to do with art movements because it was all about the Publishing Industry that for the first time in history gave the common man control of the word “creativity,” Atman Art.
The artists of Atman’s Big Bang were the commercial illustrators who entertained the public with visual images just like Ray Charles and Elvis entertained the Public with their music.

Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci were the epic icons of the Italian Renaissance.
Nobody has to make Norman Adam the Epic Icon of Atman Art because his paintings must. They must make Norman Adams an Epic Icon because it was HIS paintings -- and nobody else’s -- that come out of History’s Black Hole with the SurrealBliss that gives us the story of not only Atman Art, and Black Holes and Big Bangs, but also about the “universal spirituality” -- the SurrealBliss of kundalini -- that is inside each one of us ready to manifest itself in any and every type of entertainment from Rock Concerts to religious revivals, and the paintings that personify Atman Art.
