Harold Von Schmidt was such a popular-creative-successful artist - illustrator, while he was alive, that he made the success that artists like Michaelangelo and Leonardo De Vinci enjoyed look pale by comparison. He enjoyed such unfathomable success as an artist that he readily rejected some of the most lucrative (but less creative) jobs that measured the success of far less popular illustrators of his time -- like Norman Rockwell and Stevan Dohanos. |
