This painting has an ”unpublished” story. Norman did it for Reader’s Digest. He got paid for it but it was never published... because the research department at Reader’s Digest discovered that the story behind the picture was like the picture: not very real, but fabricated.

Martin Archery has always needed mean cats, big and very mean cats. 

Norman has been a conservationist all his life. Here he paints three illustrations onto one piece of cardboard to save paper and money.
